Bus overturns in Haryana's Panchkula, 40 Injured

Panchkula (Haryana), July 8: Over forty school children were injured when a bus they were traveling in overturned at Inderwal village near Barwala town on Monday. 

Around 40 school children were left injured after a Haryana roadways bus overturned near Pinjore in the hilly region of Panchkula on Tuesday. The incident occurred near Naulata village of Pinjore town.

While the children were taken to Sector 6 Civil Hospital in Panchkula for treatment, one seriously injured woman was rushed to the PGI Chandigarh. Pinjore Hospital is Reported to have received a few injuries as well.

As per the police, initial investigation has suggested that overspeeding by the bus driver is said to have caused the incident. However, overloading or the poor condition of the road may also have contributed to the tragedy.

Congress MLA Pradeep Choudhary of Kalka assembly constituency in Panchkula said an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
