India reports 2,897 new Covid-19 cases were reported in 24 hours.

2,827 new cases of coronavirus and 24 deaths have been reported in India.

According to data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday (May 12), the country saw a total of 3,230 discharges in the last 24 hours, with a total recovery rate of about 98.74 percent and a total recovery data of 4.25. , 70,165.

The total death toll in the country is now 5,24,181. In India, the first death due to Covid infection was reported in March 2020.

According to the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR), as on May 11, 84,24,58,167 samples have been tested for Covit-19. Of these, 4,71,276 samples were tested on Wednesday.

Beneficiaries aged 18-59 were given a total of 38,476 precautionary doses up to 7 pm, bringing the total number of medicines administered to this age group to 11,78,161, according to ministry data. In addition, the first dose of the Covid vaccine has been given to more than 3.08 crore children aged 12-14 years.

So far 190.83 crore vaccine doses have been given under the nationwide vaccination drive. More than 3.10 crore first-dose vaccines have been given to 12-14-year-olds, according to a government press release.
