2,202 new infections, 27 fatalities in last 24 hours.

In a single day, 2,202 new coronavirus infections were reported in India,according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday. 

The death toll rose to 5,24,241 with 27 new deaths, and the data was updated at 8 p.m.

The number of  people recovered has risen to 4,25,82,243.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.74 per cent and weekly positivity rate was recorded at 0.59 per cent, according to the health ministry.

The total amount administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign has exceeded 191.37 crores.
