3 Kids Among 18 Killed In Chopper Crash Near Kyiv

A helicopter crash on Wednesday near a kindergarten outside Kyiv, 18 people, including Ukraine's Interior Minister and three children, were killed.

In Brovary, a commuter town to Kyiv that was the scene of fierce fighting early in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the helicopter crashed next to a kindergarten and a residential building.

The amateur views spreading on social media showed that it was a car that was crushed by the burning of debris mixed with debris from nearby buildings.

"In Brovary, a state emergency service helicopter crashed. The interior ministry's top brass perished in the plane crash, according to a statement from Ukraine's police chief Igor Klymenko.

"There is information on 29 people, including 15 children. They are provided with all the help they need,"

"Rescue operations are ongoing at the site".
