Security forces arrest 2 hybrid terrorists from Jammu & Kashmir

Security forces on Monday arrested two hybrid terrorists from Gulabateng Keller in Kashmir's Shopian district. Police seized arms and explosives from the militants.

The arrests followed a Joint Mobile Vehicle Check Point (MVCP) set up in the area on October 30.

Two terrorists have been identified as Gowher Manzoor and Aqib Hussain Nanda from Drabgam area of Pulwama.

Security authorities and intelligence offices in Kashmir classify the hybrid terrorists as unregistered ultras, who are still radicalized and slip back into regular life after completing a gruesome strike.

They perform their regular tasks in between their assignments. They live among the entire population making it difficult for security agencies to monitor and track them.

Prior to October 4, three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) fear-based oppressors and a nearby hybrid militant were shot dead during two encounters between security forces and fear-based oppressors in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian area.
