A blast at a chemical factory in Bharuch, Gujarat, has killed six workers.
Officials say six workers were killed in a blast at a chemical factory in Gujarat's Bharuch district on Monday.
The incident took place at around 3am at the unit located in the Dahej industrial area, 235 km from Ahmedabad.
All six victims were working near a nuclear reactor when it suddenly exploded during a solvent distillation operation, said Bruch Superintendent of Police Leena Patil.
"The blast at the reactor caused a fire in the factory. Six people who worked near the reactor were killed. The bodies were later recovered and sent for autopsy. The fire was brought under control.
