Free Fire Goes Missing from Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Possibly Among 54 Chinese Apps Banned in India.
The government in India has reportedly banned another 50 smartphones app of Chinese descent. This is the first app to be banned by the government in 2022 after a total of 270 apps were banned from 2020. Although the official list of banned apps is not yet available, ET Now's report has confirmed another 50. Applications are banned by the government.
Earlier it was reported that the popular smartphone game Karena Free Fire from Google Play Store and Apple App Store may have disappeared and the game may have been included in the new list of apps banned in India. Please note that we are still waiting for the official confirmation from Garena International, the distributor of the game. Also, neither Apple nor Google has released a report on the disappearance.

"Many applications from Tencent and Alibaba have changed hands to cover up the rights. They are also hosted from countries like Hong Kong or Singapore, but the data eventually went to servers in Chinese destinations, ”a senior official said, citing the reason for the ban on applications in India.
Very little official information is now known about the full list of banned applications. However, according to ET Now, the new list of banned apps will mostly include clones of banned apps in India from 2020 onwards. With a further 50 restricted applications, the list of total applications banned by India Government may reach around 320.
