13,091 New Cases and 340 Deaths Reported in Last 24 Hrs
13,091 new cases and 340 deaths in India in the last 24 hours; According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the active cassette is 1,38,556 (at least in 266 days). The daily positive rate was recorded at 1.10 percent. It has been less than two per cent for the last 38 days. The weekly positive rate was also reported at 1.18 percent.
The 340 new deaths include 259 from Kerala and 17 from Maharashtra. Of the 259 deaths, 48 have been reported in the last few days and 211 have been designated as coward deaths after receiving appeals under the new guidelines of the Central and Supreme Court. The Kerala state government said in a statement on Wednesday.
Maharashtra has recorded 1,40,447 deaths, Karnataka 38,131, Tamil Nadu 36,247, Kerala 34,621, Delhi 25,091, Uttar Pradesh 22,904 and West Bengal 19,267 with a total of 4,62,189 deaths so far.
