No Bail For Shah Rukh Khan's Son Aryan In Drugs Case
Aryan Khan, son of film actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was arrested in connection with the Mumbai drug trafficking case, was today denied bail.
The 23-year-old was remanded in custody by a Mumbai court until Thursday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCP). Aryan Khan's parents Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan did not appear for the bail hearing.
"The investigation is of paramount importance and it should be conducted. It benefits the accused and the investigators," the judge said, extending the custody of Aryan Khan and seven others.
Arya Khan was "quiet" when his friends broke up with Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha when the judge announced the decision.
Eight people were arrested on Sunday after the anti-drug agency went undercover and attacked a rave party aboard the "Cordelia" ship from Mumbai to Goa on Saturday evening.
The agency told the court that Aryan Khan should be remanded in custody until October 11 (Monday) to interrogate him. The Narcotics Control Bureau alleges that international drug trafficking is involved in this case.
“If we don’t investigate consumers, how do we know who the supplier is and who is funding it,” the agency said.
Links in chat-like formats show the international cartel's involvement. This is a group of people like a gang, ”the company's attorney told the court, adding that" code names "were found in Ariak Khan's chats and links to banking and money transfers.
Arian Khan argued that he was the special invitee to the ship and "could not be contacted with full arrest in this case."
