Chief Minister Stalin has written a letter to 12 chief ministers to join hands against the NEET
Stalin said DMK MPs would meet various state chief ministers in person.The letter has been sent to the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, West Bengal and Goa.
In the letter, Stalin attached the AK Rajan Committee Report, which examined the impact of NEET on students from disadvantaged and socially backward backgrounds.
“The Committee was also asked to recommend alternative admission procedures that would benefit all students, the possibilities for implementing such alternatives, and the legal steps that need to be taken to implement such fair and equitable practices.Based on the recommendation of the committee, the Government of Tamil Nadu is also in your view, "Chief Minister Stalin wrote.
Speaking about NEET entry, Chief Stalin wrote, "The Union government's move to introduce NEET selection is anti-federal and violates the constitutional balance of power by restricting the rights of state governments. The system of admission to medical institutions."
In his letter, Chief Minister Stalin asked his colleagues from other states to go through the documents and offer their support in this matter, saying, "Students in the respective states, rural and marginalized sections of society appreciate the difficulty in gaining admission to higher education."
In the letter written by Chief Minister Stalin, it was stated in the constitution that the states should take the lead in the administration of education. Stalin signed a petition calling for the cooperation of all heads of state in this regard.
DMK MPs have been instructed to hand over the translated copy of AK Rajan's report to the Chief Ministers in person and to explain the efforts taken by the Government of Tamil Nadu in the NEED issue.
