Brazil registers record new daily COVID death

Brazil has recently seen an increase in the number of deaths in CovD-19 cases.

Lack of medical supplies and slow vaccine rolling have exacerbated the crisis.

Brazil faces a dire situation with more than 80 percent of the intensive care units in 25 of Brazil's 27 state capitals, according to a report released by the public health institute Fiocruz.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization,  Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has urged the country to take aggressive measures, warning that Brazil could infect its neighbors and beyond if it does not take the corona virus seriously.
