UK discovered another new variant of the coronavirus

Scientists have discovered that the Kent variant of covid-19, which is spreading around the UK, is undergoing some new genetic modification.

Tests of some models showed a mutation called the E484K, which has already been found in South African and Brazilian varieties.

According to scientists, although this change may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine, the ones in use still need to work.

Experts found only 11 of the 214,159 specimens with E484K mutation.

Emergency testing for the South African variant is already underway in some parts of the UK, with the same E484K mutation moving on to other regions that see different types.

Scientists working in the public health UK found a small number of cases of the UK 'Kent' variant with the E484K mutation - found in 11 of the 214,159 samples they tested, mainly from the southwest of the UK.

There may be more cases that have not yet been discovered. Thirty-two cases of the original corona virus in the Liverpool area contained the E484K mutation.
