DMK has released its Lok Sabha election manifesto and vowed to cancel the NEET exam in the state

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, along with DMK leaders, presented the party's plans for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and revealed its list of candidates in Chennai on Wednesday (Mar 20).

The DMK manifesto promises to give Puducherry its own statehood and commits to stopping the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) NEET. In the manifesto, the DMK stated that until the position of governor is removed, a governor should be chosen in agreement with the state's chief minister.

Speaking at the meeting, M.K. Stalin criticized that the DMK is committed to fulfilling the promises made in the election manifesto and that the BJP has not fulfilled the expectations stated in the previous election manifesto.

He stated that the manifesto represents what the people desire, not just the goals of the party. He emphasized the INDIA alliance's vision and the manifesto's concentration on the welfare of Tamil Nadu.

After releasing the election manifesto, M.K.Stalin addressed the gathering and said, 'Making the election manifesto before the election and keeping the promises is what DMK has taught us. When the BJP came to power in 2014, they harmed India, and no election promises were fulfilled, we have formed  India alliance, and we will form it. In 2024, Govt. Our manifesto contains special schemes for Tamil Nadu and schemes are outlined for each district.

DMK MP Kanimozhi thanked for heading the manifesto committee. She highlighted the importance of the Dravidian model in Tamil Nadu's development and hoped to spread its principles across the country. Kanimozhi stressed the importance of winning significant Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and other regions.

"The DMK manifesto is always crucial for us. I appreciate our leader MK Stalin for letting me lead the manifesto committee and thank all the committee members. We've witnessed the significant impact of this Dravidian model government on the people of our state. This election manifesto will enable us to spread our Dravidian model across India. I'm confident that we'll not only secure 40 seats in Tamil Nadu but also a substantial number of seats nationwide," said Kanimozhi.
