Bulgarian Cruise Ship Carrying 160 Passengers Crashes Into Danube Wall in Austria


Eleven people were hurt when a Bulgarian cruise ship crashed into a concrete wall on the River Danube in the town of Aschach an der Donau, Austria.


Around 160 passengers were on the ship, traveling from Bavaria in Germany to the city of Linz in Austria, according to a spokesperson for the police in the nearby town of Eferding.


Eleven people who were hurt were taken to the hospital, and the ship managed to continue its journey after the accident, the spokesperson explained. They also mentioned that they weren't sure how serious the injuries were at that moment.


According to local media, six more people had minor injuries that didn't need hospital care.
