PM Modi flagged off the Bengaluru-Hyderabad Vande Bharat train



On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used video conferencing to launch nine new Vande Bharat Express trains, bringing the total number of these faster trains to 34.


The new premium, faster train will travel between Yeshwantpur and Kacheguda, covering a distance of 609.81 km in 8 hours and 30 minutes. It will maintain an average speed of 71.74 kmph. 


Currently, Karnataka has two other Vande Bharat trains that run between Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai and Bengaluru-Hubballi-Dharwad.


The Prime Minister mentioned that the new Vande Bharat Express trains, which are starting today, will greatly enhance transportation links and promote tourism throughout India. He emphasized that the government is working on making travel easier and faster through various modes of transportation to reduce commuting time.


These nine trains will improve transportation connections, across 11 states, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat.


Prime Minister Modi inaugurated nine new Vande Bharat Express trains, which are:


1. Udaipur – Jaipur Vande Bharat Express

2. Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai Vande Bharat Express

3. Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express

4. Vijayawada-Chennai (via Renigunta) Vande Bharat Express

5. Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express

6. Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express

7. Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri Vande Bharat Express

8. Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express

9. Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express


Here are the timings for the Kacheguda-Yeshwantpur Vande Bharat train, which is Train no: 20703:


- Departure from Kacheguda: 5:30 a.m.

- Arrival at Yeshwantpur: 2:00 p.m. on the same day.

This train will make stops at Mahbubnagar, Kurnool City, Anantapur, and Dharmavaram. It will operate six days a week, with Wednesday being the exception.


The fares, for the Kacheguda Yeshwantpur Vande Bharat train are as stated below;


AC chair car ticket from Kacheguda to Yeshwantpur costs Rs 1,600.

For an Executive chair ticket from Kacheguda to Yeshwantpur the price is Rs 2,915.

If you opt for an AC chair car ticket from Yeshwantpur to Kacheguda it will cost you Rs 1,540.

Similarly, an Executive chair ticket from Yeshwantpur to Kacheguda will be priced at Rs 2,865.


Kacheguda-Yeshwantpur Vande Bharat train: Travel time


Currently, it takes 8 hours and 30 minutes to travel between Bengaluru and Hyderabad on the new Kacheguda-Yeshwantpur Vande Bharat train. This is a significant improvement as most other trains typically take anywhere from 10 to 13 hours for the same journey. Another fast option is the Yeshwantpur-Delhi Duronto Express, which takes 9 hours to cover the distance between Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
