1 killed, 6 injured in fresh violence in Bihar after Ram Navami clashes



A youth injured in Saturday night's violence in Nalanda district's Paharpura village died on the way to Patna Medical College and Hospital.


A day after violence broke out during a Sobha Yatra during Ram Navami, at least six people were injured in clashes between two groups.


At least six people were injured when a bomb exploded while handling illegal explosives in Rohdas of Sasaram in Bihar on Saturday. The blast took place in the Sherganj area on Saturday evening. Bihar Police arrested 2 people in connection with this blast.


Incidents of stone pelting and firing took place in the interior areas of the district including Alinagar, Panaulia, Pasar Bika, Kasganj, Konasarai, and Baharpura, in which around 15-16 people were injured. Following this clash, the police arrested 77 people in the raid conducted by the police for the last 2 days.


Shashank Shubangar, the Nalanda DM, confirmed that the violence resulted in the death of a young person who had been shot. He has alluded to PMCH for treatment, where he kicked the bucket. A post-mortem has been conducted on the body. The youth's killers are being sought out by police. The situation is now tranquil. The situation was normal even on Saturday, but some people spread rumors, which led to the Bihar Sharif police station Baharpura. The area was in a state of tension, he stated.


He added, “12-13 people who were injured during the clashes on Friday and Saturday are undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital. Fresh violence broke out at 2-3 places in Bihar Sharif last night.
