India records 13,734 new Covid cases, 34 deaths 

A total of 13,734 new coronavirus cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-related infections in the country to 4,40,50,009.

The death toll rose to 5,26,430 with 27 new deaths, the data updated at 8 am.

17,897 patients recovered in the last 24 hours taking the total to 4,33,83,787.

The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in India has dropped to 1,39,792, Health Ministry data showed today. Yesterday, the number of active cases registered was 1,43,989.

According to the Ministry of Health, 204.6 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
