India has reported 13,086 new Covid cases and 19 deaths in the last 24 hours

India reported 13,086 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, up from 16,135 infections and 19 deaths on Monday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.

The death toll rose to 5,25,242 with 19 new deaths, the data updated at 8 am.

The top five states are Kerala with a maximum of 3,322 cases, Tamil Nadu with 2,654 cases, Maharashtra with 1,515 cases, West Bengal with 1,132 cases, and Karnataka with 749 cases.

The active caseload rose to 1,14,475 cases.

A total of 12,456 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries across the country to 4,28,91,933.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 86,44,51,219 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till July 4. Of this, 4,51,312 samples were tested on Monday.

India has administered a total of 11,44,805 doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,98,09,87,178.

A total of 4,51,312 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total number to 86.44 crores.
