India reported 8,084 new Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths 

As the number of daily cases continues to rise, 8,084 new Covid cases were reported in India on Monday.

A total of 10 deaths have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,24,771.

The 10 new deaths include 3 each from Kerala and Delhi, 2 each from Maharashtra, and one each from Mizoram and Punjab.

More than 2,000 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra in the last few days - more than 1,000 in Mumbai alone. It is followed by Kerala, Delhi, and Karnataka.

The number of active cases in the country is currently 47,995 with 3,482 new cases. Active cases make up 0.11 percent of the total caseload.

A total of 4,592 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery to 42,657,335. The recovery rate in India is 98.68 percent.

According to the Medical Research Council of India (ICMR), as of June 12, 85,51,08,879 samples have been tested for COVID-19. Of these, 2,49,418 samples were tested on Sunday.

According to the data, the Covid-19 vaccine for 12-14-year-olds was launched on 16 March 2022. So far, more than 3.51 (3,51,48,286) crore adolescents have been given the first dose of the Covid-19 Vaccine.

Under the National Vaccine Movement, 195.19 crore vaccine doses have been given so far.
