12,847 new coronavirus infections and 14 deaths in India

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Friday morning that 12,847 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths have been reported in India in the last 24 hours.

Of these 14 deaths, two were reported in Delhi, one in Karnataka, eight in Kerala, and three in Maharashtra.

The total death toll was 5,24,817.

The highest number of new Covid-19 cases was reported in Maharashtra - 4,255, Kerala 3,419, Delhi 1,323, Karnataka 833, and Haryana 625.

According to data shared by the Ministry, India's recovery rate is 98.64%, with 7985 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 4,26,82,697.

A total of 5,19,903 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health.

According to the data, the Covid-19 vaccine for 12-14-year-olds was launched on 16 March 2022. So far, more than 3.55 crore adolescents have been given the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The total number of Covid vaccines vaccinated in the country so far exceeds 195.84 crores.
