India registers 12,249 fresh cases and 13 deaths in the last 24 hours

India has 12,249 new cases of coronavirus and 13 deaths, according to Union Health Ministry.

The 13 new deaths include eight from Kerala and one each from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Maharashtra with the highest number of 3,659 cases, Kerala with 2,609 cases, Delhi with 1,383 cases, Karnataka with 738 cases, and Tamil Nadu with 737 cases are among the top five states with maximum registration.

India has an active caseload of 81,687. In the last 24 hours, the number of active cases has increased by 2,374.

A total of 9,862 discharges in the last 24 hours, the total recovery rate was about 98.61 percent and the total recovery data reached 4,27,25,055.

According to the Medical Research Council of India, 3,10,623 (3 lakh 10 thousand 6 hundred and 23) Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 196.45 crore dosage vaccines have so far been distributed in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive.
