8,329 new Covid-19 cases in India, 10 deaths in 24 hours; 40,370 active cases

A total of 8,329 new coronavirus cases were reported in 24 hours, while the number of deaths from the disease rose to 5,24,757, with 10 deaths recorded, as of 8am updated data.

Maharashtra topped the list with 3,081 cases, followed by Kerala with 2,415 cases, Delhi with 655 cases, Karnataka with 525 cases, and Haryana with 327 cases.

India’s recovery rate is now 98.69 percent. A total of 4,216 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cured across the country to 4,26,48,308.

The daily positive rate was recorded at 2.41 percent on Friday, while the weekly positive rate was recorded at 1.75 percent, the health ministry said.

A total of 3,44,994 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

India has delivered a total of 15,08,406 doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,94,92,71,111.
