2,527 Covid cases have been registered within 24 hours.



According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday (April 23, 2022), 2,527 new COVID-19 cases and 33 deaths have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,22,149.


The 33 new deaths include 31 from Kerala and two from Delhi.



A total of 1,656 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, an increase to 4,25,17,724 nationwide.


The death toll has risen to 5,22,149 in the country, including 1,47,831 in Maharashtra, 68,781 in Kerala, 40,057 in Karnataka, 38,025 in Tamil Nadu, 26,164 in Delhi, 23,502 in Uttar Pradesh and 21,200 in West Bengal. .


4,55,179 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours to detect the presence of the virus.


The total amount administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign has exceeded 187.46 crores.
