India celebrates its 73rd Republic Day today, highlighting India's military strength, cultural diversity and various unique initiatives.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted to the people of the country, "Happy Republic Day to all of you. Jai Hind!"
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the National War Memorial on Wednesday morning to pay tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the attack. He was received by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the leaders of the three forces.
This year's parade will feature 75 Indian Air Force planes and helicopters flying, the cultural performances of 480 dancers selected nationwide by Vande Bharatam dance competition and a National Cadet Corps 'Shaheedon Ko Shat Shat Naman'event will be illuminated in large LEDs Screens.
