There are 33,376 new Covid cases and 308 deaths reported in India

In India, 33,376 covid cases were reported on Saturday. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 3,32,08,330. The country saw 308 Covid-related deaths, which was higher than the deaths recorded the previous day.

With the increase in these cases, the total number of active Covid cases in the country reached 3,91,516. Active cases accounted for 1.18 per cent of the total cases. The weekly positive rate is currently 2.26% and has been below 3% for the past 78 days. The daily positive rate is currently 2.10 percent and is now below 3 percent for the past 12 days.

India has so far conducted 54.01 crore Govt tests, of which 15,92,135 samples were tested on Friday.

The country's total vaccine coverage currently stands at Rs 73 crore, according to the health ministry.
