The Taliban has written to India to resume flights to Afghanistan
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has not yet decided on the matter.
Air India operated on the Kabul-Delhi route on August 15, when the last commercial flight between India and Afghanistan crashed into the Kabul Taliban. On August 16, the CAA declared Afghanistan's airspace "uncontrolled."
The purpose of this letter is to facilitate the smooth flow of passenger traffic between the two countries based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed and our National Carriers (Haryana Afghan Airlines & Game Air). Therefore, the Civil Aviation Authority of Afghanistan calls for the facilitation of commercial flights, "wrote Alhaj Hameedullah Akhunzada, Minister of Civil Aviation.
Akhunzada said in his letter: “You are well aware that the Kabul airport was recently damaged and defunct before it was recaptured by US forces.
With the help of Qatari technology, the airport resumed operations and a look (notice to flight attendants) was issued on September 6 in this regard.
Taliban spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi told Reuters that Reuters' international flights had stalled in Afghanistan and prevented people from traveling to work or study.
"The IEA promises to extend its full cooperation to all airlines as the problems at Kabul International Airport are resolved and the airport is fully operational for domestic and international flights," he said.
