41,965 new cOVID-19 cases in India, 460 deaths in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, the country recorded 460 deaths due to COVID-19. According to the Health Ministry, 33,964 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of COVID-19 in India has reached 3,28,10,845 and there are currently 3,78,181 active cases.

The death toll rose to 4,38,560 with 350 new deaths, the data show. India's Covid-19 numbers crossed 20 lakh on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16.

Meanwhile, India on Tuesday reached a new milestone by delivering over 1 crore Govd-19 vaccines across the country. This is the highest number reached by India in a single day since the mass vaccination drive began on January 16.

Five days ago, India provided 1 crore (1,08,83,963) vaccines for the first time. India's Govt vaccination coverage now exceeds 65 crores (65,12,14,767).

It took India 85 days to reach 10 crore. Then it took 45 days to cross 20 crore and another 29 days to reach 30 crore. It took 24 days for the country to reach 40 crore, 20 more days to cross 50 crore vaccines on August 6 and 19 more days to cross the 60 crore target on August 25.
