The Taliban is forcing Afghan women to marry terrorists
The Taliban seizing several key cities in Afghanistan, the terrorist group is now forcing women to marry its terrorists, a media report said Thursday.
Afghans also see the death penalty for soldiers captured by the Taliban and unprovoked attacks on civilians in recently captured areas.
The Afghans are pouring into Kabul and claiming to have witnessed unprovoked attacks on civilians and the executions of captured soldiers in Taliban-controlled areas. In addition, they say, Taliban communities have demanded that unmarried women be turned into "wives" for their terrorists — which human rights groups say is a form of sexual violence, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
They publicly promised that the Taliban would win, and that government officials, troops and the people of Afghanistan had no fear of coming under their country's control. But their actions say otherwise, The Wall Street Journal added.
On Thursday, the US embassy in Kabul received reports of Taliban executions of surrendered Afghan military personnel. The embassy said on Twitter, "creating deep trouble and war crimes."
The Taliban have control over several major cities in the region. On Thursday night, the terrorist group claimed to have captured Kandahar, the country's second-largest city, after seizing the governor's office and other administrative buildings in the city. So far, the terrorist group has captured 12 provincial capitals in the country.
The terrorist group is fighting extensively with Afghan government forces in an attempt to seize key cities and seize power after US forces withdraw from Afghanistan under a peace agreement signed between the Taliban and Washington.
