 Why did Google go down?

Google suffered a global crash on Monday evening, causing inconvenience to users of services such as Gmail, YouTube and Drive. It suddenly disrupted most people, including Google, and it took a while to figure out what went wrong with many of its services. Finally, Google has an answer. Google claims that the crash was caused by an "internal storage allocation problem", which is not as easy as it sounds.

A spokesman for Google told India Today Tech that it was experiencing 45 minutes of "authentication system malfunction" on its services. To simplify this, a Google spokesperson explained that the internal tools used by the company to allocate sufficient storage for each service that handles authentication did not work as expected. After the storage limit is exhausted, the system automatically fails to provide more storage, causing the system to crash.

Numerous services such as Gmail, YouTube, Drive and Calendar provided by Google have stopped working immediately. Not only Google's own services, but also third-party services that use Google's authentication platform have stopped working for users trying to sign in. However, individuals who have already logged in are not affected.
