Health Ministry says mutated Coronavirus Spreads Rapidly In UK

A mutant virus that is spreading rapidly in the UK.

The government has decided to temporarily suspend all flights departing from the UK to India until 11:59 pm on December 31, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Monday.

The UK has warned that this new strain of the corona virus is “out of control” and has locked up a severe new shelter since Sunday.

Government sources said the Ministry of Health today convened a meeting of its Joint Monitoring Committee on covd-19 to discuss the corona virus, a mutant virus that is spreading rapidly in the UK.

Roderico H. Afrin, India's Representative to the World Health Organization, who is a member of the Monitoring Committee, is expected to attend the meeting.

Railway stations in London rallied to leave the city as restrictions went into effect. On Sunday, European countries began closing their borders to travelers from the United Kingdom in hopes of closing the new recurrence of the virus.

This suspension to start w.e.f. 23.59 hours, 22nd December 2020. Consequently flights from India to UK shall stand temporarily suspended during above said period.
