A blue moon will be visible in the night sky from 8:19 pm on October 31st.

There are two full moons in October, the second of which is usually anointed as the ‘Blue Moon’. The first full moon event took place on October 1st and October 2nd

Head of the Nehru Planetarium Arvind Paranjpe had said that there would be two full moons this October. When there are two full moons in a schedule month, the subsequent full moon is known as the blue moon, Parangpai said.

The Blue Moon coincides with Halloween, which is observed in many countries before the Western Christian feast of All Hallows Day on October 31st.

"A blue moon rises on Halloween. It is named not for its color, but for its rarity. There are two full moons in a month every 2.5 years. 

The U.S. has not had a Halloween in all time zones since 1944, "NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said on Twitter.
