Russia Approves Coronavirus Vaccine Before Completing Tests

Russia which now claims to have become he first country in the world to approve a vaccine against the Coronavirus.

Russian president Vladimir Putin said that the first russian-produced vaccine for Covid - 19 has received regulatory approval from the Country's Health Ministry.

The vaccine was developed by Moscow's Gamalia Institute .Mr Putin said it forms stable immunity and passes all necessary safety checks.

Mr Putin also said one of his daughters has actually received that vaccine.

Even though it hasn't completed phase 3 Russia's Health Ministry approved the vaccine.

The russian vaccine is based on the same principle as oxford's it takes a different type of virus called an Adenovirus.

In theory a person injected with the vaccine will produce an immune response that will also work against the real Coronavirus.

The russian scientists say they're using the same adenovirus base they used for a 2016 Ebola Vaccine.

Russia began its first trials in june on about two dozen people they were similar to those at oxford and in the U.S though smaller.At the end of the trial volunteers told they'd felt nothing more than slight flu symptoms.

Russia said mass production will start in September.
