India: Kozhikode plane crash leaves at least 19 dead (Kerala Air India Crash)

In India where at least 19 people were killed and more than a hundred injured when a passenger plane skidded off the runway in the Southern city of Kozhikode.

The Air India Express flight from dubai was carrying 190 passengers and crew heavy monsoon rain appears to have had a role in the crash.

Both the pilots of Air India Express flight unfortunately lost their lives in the Accident.

The pilots tried to save the flight and the passengers by turning off the engine right before the crash saving the lives of his passengers and the cabin crew. This prevented the aircraft from catching fire.

Eyewitnesses described the plane's fuselage breaking apart as it fell in to a valley some 10 meters below.
