Mukesh Ambani is now the eighth richest person on the planet, andBuffett is ninth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, which started in 2012Mukesh Ambani is now worth $68.3 billion, surpassing Buffett’s $67.9 billion as of Thursday.

While Ambani became the only Asian tycoon in the world's top 10 richest people, Buffett's fortune plummeted after he gave away 2.9 billion dollars to charity. Moreover, Berkshire Hathaway's stock performance has been underwhelming in recent times. As per this index which commenced in 2012, Ambani and Buffet are the 8th and 9th richest persons on the planet respectively.
