Actor Noor Malabika Das, known for her roles in several web shows, was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai. Police suspect she died by suicide. Originally from Assam, Das used to work as an air hostess with Qatar Airways and lived in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. She starred alongside Kajol in the 2023 legal drama 'The Trial'.
She appeared in several films and web series, including 'Siskiyan', 'Walkaman', 'Teekhi Chatni', 'Jaghanya Upaya', 'Charamsukh', 'Dekhi Andekhi', and 'Backroad Hustle'.
Her body was found in her apartment on Thursday after neighbors reported a foul smell to the police, sources said.
The police broke open the door and discovered the 37-year-old actor's decomposed body. They collected items like medicines and mobile phones from her home for their investigation. An autopsy has also been done.
Malapika's elderly parents have recently returned to Assam after visiting her. As they could not return to Mumbai, his friend and actor Aloknath Pathak cremated his body with the help of an NGO.
