Photographer Alleges Assault by Taylor Swift's Father, Scott Swift

Australian police are looking into an alleged assault by a 71-year-old man on a photographer in Sydney during the early hours of Tuesday. The person making the accusation has identified the man as Taylor Swift's father.

"Police were informed that a 71-year-old man reportedly attacked a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf around 2:30 am (1530 GMT on Monday) before leaving the area," stated police spokeswoman Alicia McCumstie.

The younger man reported the incident, and now officers from the North Shore Police Area Command are conducting investigations.

The person claiming to be the victim, Ben McDonald, informed the media that the man involved was Scott Swift, who is said to be Taylor Swift's father.

Macdonald said he photographed them on their way from "superyacht" in Sydney Harbour.

McDonald claims that Swift's security used an umbrella to block his view, preventing him from taking photos of Taylor Swift as she walked down the jetty to a waiting vehicle.

After Swift left, McDonald said a man approached him, and he punched me in the face.

I didn't remember him right away, yet when I saw the photos of him clasping hands with Taylor, I understood it was her father.

It was a shock. That is never happened to me in 26 years, he said.

Taylor Swift is on her huge Eras Tour around the world. This week, she's going to Singapore for the next part of what is predicted to be the top-earning music tour ever, surpassing $1 billion, according to Pollstar.

A representative for Taylor Swift has claimed that two unidentified people engaged in pushing, grabbing, and threatening behavior when a photographer was reportedly assaulted by the star's father in Sydney on Tuesday.

"Two people were forcefully pushing towards Taylor, grabbing her security, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water," the spokesperson informed AFP.
