India has reported 15,528 new cases of COVID-19 with 25 deaths

15,528 new corona infections have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, taking the country's Covid count to 4,37,83,062.

The death toll rose to 5,25,785 with 25 new deaths, the data updated at 8 am.

The 25 new deaths include six from West Bengal, five from Kerala, three from Assam, two each from Bihar, Delhi, and Punjab, and one each from Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, and Rajasthan.

The country's active cases fell to 1,43,654 on Tuesday.A decrease of 610 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

The five states with the most active serious cases are West Bengal (29583), Kerala (23475), Tamil Nadu (16906), Maharashtra (15162), and Karnataka (7680).

In the last 24 hours, 16,113 patients have recovered, taking the total to 4,31,13,623.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 87,01,55,452 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till July 18. Of this, 4,68,350 samples were tested on Monday.

With 2,778,013 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine administered on July 18, the number of vaccinations taken in India so far has reached 2,003,355,257.
