India records 18,819 new Covid-19 cases and 39 deaths in 24 hours
India reported 18,819 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,34,52,164. As per Union Health Ministry data updated today.
The death toll in India has risen to 5,25,116 with 39 new deaths.
Of the 39 new deaths, 17 were from Kerala, 7 from Maharashtra, 4 from Uttar Pradesh, 3 from Punjab, and 2 each from Haryana, Karnataka, and West Bengal, and one each from Delhi and Sikkim.
Kerala topped the list with 4,459 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 3,957 cases, Karnataka with 1,945 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,827 cases, and West Bengal with 1,424 cases.
A total of 13,827 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cured across the country to 4,28,22,493.
The number of active Covid-19 cases increased by 4,953 cases in 24 hours, taking India's active caseload to 1,04,555.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 86,23,75,489 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till June 29. Of this, 4,52,430 samples were tested on Wednesday.
India has administered a total of 14,17,217 doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,97,61,91,554.
