India records 2,841 new cases and 9 deaths in the last 24 hours.



India has reported 2,841 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 4,31,16,254. According to data from the Union Health Ministry.


Today the death toll has risen to 5,24,190 with 9 new deaths.


The nine deaths included eight from Kerala and one from Maharashtra.


So far, 42,573,460 people have successfully recovered and been discharged from hospitals, of whom 3,295 have been discharged in the last 24 hours.


As of May 12, 84,29,44,795 samples had been tested, according to the ICMR.



The total amount administered so far in the country under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign has exceeded 190.99 crores.
