2,539 new Covid-19 cases in India, 60 deaths in 24 hours.

At least 2,539 new COVID-19 cases were reported in India on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 4,30,01,477. 

The death toll has risen to 5,16,132 with 60 new covid-related deaths.

According to the Ministry of Health, active cases accounted for 0.08 percent of total epidemics, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate improved to 98.72 percent.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), more than 7.17 lakh samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. 

India has so far administered 180.80 crore Govid vaccine doses and conducted 78.12 crore Govid tests.

On Wednesday, the vaccine was opened to children aged 12-14 years and more than 2.6 lakh doses were given on the first day.
