2.38 lakh new Covid cases in India, 310 deaths; Omicron tally at 8,891.

2,38,018 new cases reported in the country in the last 24 hours, India's Covid curve showed some improvement today - 7 per cent less than the 2.58 lakh daily cases recorded on Monday, the health ministry said.

In the last 24 hours 310 people have lost their lives due to Covid, bringing the total death toll in the country to 486,761.

Kerala reports 63 new Omicron cases, state tally reaches 591.

Mumbai reports 5,956 new Covid cases, 12 deaths.

A total of 8,891 cases of omicron variant have been reported in 28 states and union territories.

More than 158.04 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far.
