Director Mohan G, who is known for producing controversial films, reunites with his favorite actor Richard Rishi for an action drama through Rudra Thandavam. 

Mohan Ji’s Draupadi, released in 2020, was in the news accusing it of targeting a particular community and luring women of other castes for money and power. In Rudra Thandavam, with the PCR (Civil Rights Protection) Act and many other aspects, he continues to present his views with a different plot.
