India records 18,795 Covid - 19 cases today

India added 18,795 new corona virus infections, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 3,36,97,581, while the number of active cases dropped to 2,92,206, the lowest in 192 days, the Union Ministry of Health updated today.

The death toll rose to 4,47,373 with 179 new deaths, according to data updated at 9:30 p.m.

The top five states with the highest number of Covid-19 cases were Kerala, 11,699 cases, Mizoram 1,846 cases, Tamil Nadu 1,657 cases, Andhra Pradesh 618 cases and Karnataka 504 cases.

In the last 24 hours, 179 deaths have been reported in the country, bringing the total death toll to 4,47,373.

Kerala has the highest death toll (58), followed by Maharashtra with 32 deaths.

India has delivered a total of 1,02,22,525 doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of doses to 87,07,08,636.
