India Covid - 19 Update: 29,616 new Cases and 290 death

In 24 hours, 29,616 new corona patients were diagnosed, and 290 died on the last day

The number of active cases of corona in India continues to decline. In the last 24 hours, 29616 new corona cases have been reported and 290 corona victims have lost their lives, according to data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday morning. At the same time, 28046 people were cured of corona in 24 hours, which means that 4496 active cases have been reduced.

Most of the cases are from Kerala

Kerala has the highest number of corona patients in the country. On Friday, 17,983 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Kerala and 127 people died, bringing the death toll in the state to 45,97,293 and the death toll to 24,318. State Health Minister Veena George said, "1,62,846 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and only 12.6 percent of them have been admitted to the hospital."

Meanwhile, 15,054 people were cured of the disease on Friday, bringing the total number of survivors to 44,09,530. 

The minister said 91.3 percent of those over 18 years of age had taken the first dose of the covid vaccine and 39 percent of the same age group had taken two doses.

Corona infection situation across the country

A total of three crore 36 lakh 24 thousand people have been affected by the corona epidemic since its inception. 4 lakh 46 thousand 658 of them have died. The good thing is that so far 3 crore 28 lakh 76 thousand people have been cured.

According to the Union Ministry of Health, 84 crore 89 lakh 29 thousand 160 doses of corona vaccine have been given across the country till September 23. 71.04 lakh vaccines were given on the last day. At the same time, according to the Medical Research Council of India (ICMR), about 56.16 crore corona tests have been performed so far. 15.92 lakh corona sample tests were performed on the last day, with a positive ratio of less than 3 per cent. The corona death rate in the country is 1.33 percent and the recovery rate is 97.78 percent. 0.89 percent of active cases. India ranks 8th in the world in the number of corona victims.
